Frequently asked questions

Who writes the questions?

Our questions are written by practising UK GPs, drawing on real clinical experience — not just textbooks — and we keep them under review as guidance changes.

How is this different from other question banks?

We focus on the ‘tough 20%’ — statistics and admin — and our explanations teach, not just test, with a Core Lens takeaway and a deeper dive.

How long do I get access for?

It depends on the package you choose. Your access lasts for the full length of your plan — 1, 3, 6 or 12 months — from the day you join.

Can I use it on my phone or tablet?

Yes — it’s fully mobile-friendly, so you can revise anywhere.

Is this a one-off payment or a subscription?

A one-off payment — never a subscription. Whichever plan you choose, you pay once for that access period and it does not auto-renew.

Which plan should I choose?

Access starts the day you buy, so pick a plan that runs past your exam day: count the months from today to your sitting and round up. Every plan includes everything. If you are not sure, the 6-month Power Pack covers one sitting with room to spare. See every AKT date.

Can I claim it from my study budget?

Possibly. NHS England’s London and South East study-leave guidance, for example, lets GP trainees claim one AKT preparation course (up to £600, with their educational supervisor’s agreement). A question bank counts as that one course. Rules differ by region, so check your own study leave guidance before you buy. Your receipt is emailed to you when you pay.
