Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: 9 October 2026

Welcome to Core Revision. These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of the Core Revision website, located at https://corerevision.com. Core Revision is operated by Core Revision Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company no. 16956954), with its registered office at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ.

By accessing this website and purchasing our services, we assume you accept these terms and conditions. Do not continue to use Core Revision if you do not agree to take all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.

1. The Service & Medical Disclaimer (Crucial)

1.1 Educational Use Only: The content provided on this website, including question banks, mock exams, and consultation guides, is strictly for educational and exam revision purposes only. It is designed to help medical students, doctors and other healthcare professionals prepare for medical, licensing and postgraduate examinations, including the MRCGP AKT.

1.2 Not Clinical Advice: While the content is written and reviewed by practising UK GPs, it does not constitute professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It should not be used to guide clinical decision-making for individual patients. Medical knowledge and guidelines change rapidly; users are responsible for verifying diagnosis and treatment against current national guidelines (e.g., NICE, SIGN, BTS) before applying them in clinical practice.

1.3 Our responsibility to you: We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these Terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Within that:

  • Nothing we cannot limit. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales.
  • Your statutory rights. If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described; if it is not, you are entitled to a repair or replacement and, where that is not possible, to some or all of your money back. If our digital content damages a device or other digital content of yours and we failed to use reasonable care and skill, we will repair the damage or compensate you.
  • Exam results. Core Revision is a revision aid. We do not promise that using it will result in a pass or any particular score, and we are not liable for the outcome of any examination, application or recruitment round. Our “no failure tax” extension in section 4.4 is the only remedy we offer for an unsuccessful sitting.
  • Clinical use. Our content is for exam revision only (section 1.2). We are not liable for any loss arising from its use in the care of a patient or in clinical decision-making.
  • Business losses. We supply the service for personal use. We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
  • Overall limit. Subject to the points above, our total liability to you in connection with a product is limited to the price you paid for that product.

1.4 Revision tools are not medical devices: Core Tools, Core Compass, Core Calendar, our mock exams and our other interactive features are revision aids for exam preparation. They are not medical devices, are not intended for diagnosis, prevention, monitoring, treatment or any other clinical purpose, and must not be used to inform the care of any individual patient.

2. User Accounts & Security

2.1 Account Creation: To access the revision materials, you must register an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information.

2.2 No Account Sharing: Your membership is personal to you. Sharing your login details (username and password) with others is strictly prohibited.

  • We may monitor account activity (such as concurrent logins from different IP addresses or locations) to detect sharing. See our Privacy Policy for how we use this data.
  • If we see what looks like account sharing we will first email you, explain what we have seen and ask you to change your password within 7 days.
  • If it continues, we may suspend your account while we investigate. For repeated or deliberate sharing (for example sharing with a study group, or selling or giving away access) we may terminate your account; where we terminate for a serious breach we will not refund the unused part of your membership.
  • We will always tell you why we have taken action, and you can ask for a founder review through our Complaints page.

2.3 Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

3. Payments & Memberships

3.1 Pricing: Prices for our membership packages are clearly displayed on the website. We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but price changes will not affect active memberships.

3.2 Payment: Payments are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your credit/debit card details on our servers.

3.3 Membership Duration: Your access is valid for the specific period stated at the time of purchase (e.g., 6 months). Access will automatically expire at the end of this period unless renewed.

4. Refund & Cancellation Policy

4.1 Digital Content: By purchasing a membership, you are purchasing digital content that is available for immediate access.

4.2 Cooling-off Period: Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a right to change your mind within 14 days of purchase. We do not ask you to waive that right at checkout, so it stands alongside Core Revision’s own 14-day refund guarantee. Either way the outcome is the same: email us within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you in full, whether or not you have already accessed the protected revision materials (courses, quizzes or lessons). See our Refund & Returns Policy for how to request one; it includes a model cancellation form you can use if you wish, though you do not have to.

4.3 Refunds: Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including where digital content is faulty or not as described. Our full policy is at Refund & Returns.

4.4 If your exam doesn’t go your way (“no failure tax”): If you sit your exam during your access period and are unsuccessful, email admin@corerevision.com within 30 days of receiving your result, with evidence of the sitting (for example your results email), and we will extend your access to the same product free of charge until your next sitting of that exam. The MSRA has no pass mark, so for MSRA products “unsuccessful” means your MSRA score did not get you an interview or an offer in your first-choice specialty in that recruitment round. For the MSRA the 30 days run from when you receive that outcome. Your evidence can be the email or Oriel message that shows it. This applies to each paid product, for as many sittings as you need. It extends access; it is not a cash refund.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

5.1 Ownership: All content included on this website (text, questions, graphics, logos, images, and software) is the property of Core Revision and is protected by copyright laws.

5.2 Usage: You are granted a limited licence only for purposes of viewing the material for your own personal revision. You may not:

  • Republish material from Core Revision.
  • Sell, rent, or sub-license material from Core Revision.
  • Reproduce, duplicate, copy, or screenshot content for distribution (e.g., sharing questions on social media or WhatsApp groups).

6. Acceptable Use

You must not use this website in any way that causes, or may cause, damage to the website or impairment of the availability or accessibility of the website; or in any way which is unlawful, illegal, fraudulent, or harmful.

7. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that location.

8. Complaints

If something has gone wrong, please tell us. Our Complaints page explains how to complain, what we will do and when: we acknowledge complaints within 3 working days and aim to resolve them within 14 days, with a founder review if you are not satisfied. It also explains your rights under consumer law and what happens if we cannot resolve a complaint.
