The UKMLA Core 10

Ten focused minutes of questions a day — the daily anchor that keeps topics fresh, holds back the forgetting curve, and helps you avoid re-learning the same topic from scratch. On your busiest day, this is the one thing worth doing.

How should we choose today’s questions?

How it works

Small, smart, and it remembers

01

Weighted to your week

If your Core Calendar is set up, today’s questions lean towards the topic you’re studying this week — so the Core 10 reinforces the plan instead of pulling against it.

02

It never forgets a miss

Get one wrong and it doesn’t disappear. It comes back later the same session, and again on future days, until you’ve answered it correctly twice. No topic slips through the cracks.

03

Targets your weak spots

Areas where your answers score lowest (once you have answered five or more), and anything you’ve rated Shaky or Getting there on the content map or the Core Compass, get extra airtime, so your ten minutes always go where they matter most.

Dr Victoria Hammond
Victoria’s tip

Consistency beats intensity

On the days when a full study block feels impossible, the Core 10 is your save point. Ten minutes keeps the door open — it’s far easier to keep a habit warm than to restart a cold one. Done is better than perfect, and a short session you actually finish beats a long one you keep putting off.
